Samsung Exhibit 4G – T-Mobile

Review of the affordable Samsung Exhibit 4G.
Smart phones are generally rather expensive, but Samsung Exhibit 4G, introduced last 22 June 2011, has shattered the norm. Available via T-Mobile’s Truly Unlimited Plan for only $79.99, it is the cheapest 4G smart phone in the market today. Best of all, in spite of its reduced price, its features, capabilities, and speed are in no way compromised.
The Exhibit 4G boasts of a TFT AMOLED capacitive touch screen measuring 3.5 inches, with 480 x 800 pixels. It supports 16 million vibrant colors. A 3-megapixel rear-facing camera with an LED flash is included both for still photos and videos. There is also a secondary front-facing VGA camera for video chats and self-portraits. Pre-loaded with the app Qik, you can immediately start video chatting with your friends.
In addition to Qik, the phone is also pre-loaded with AllShare which allows you to connect wirelessly with other devices where you can play media stored in the phone. With its access to the Samsung Social Media Hub, you can buy or rent an almost endless list of movies and shows. And as it is connected to the T-Mobile network, you can watch T-Mobile TV at any time, or listen to music on Slacker Radio.
Under the hood is a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor that is paired with an Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. Although not a match for a dual core, the Hummingbird is far from slow. Internal memory is 1 GB but this can be expanded up to 32 GB via a microSD card slot. As a bonus, the phone comes with 4GB microSD card.
For wireless connection to the Internet through your home network, the Exhibit 4G is equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It also has Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR Stereo for wireless connection with your headset.
