HTC T-Mobile G2 with Google – T-Mobile
Succeeding T-Mobile G1, the HTC T-Mobile G2 with Google is powered by an Android 2.2 (Froyo) operating system that provides extremely fast web browsing and a close integration with Google. Specifically designed to work with T-Mobile’s HSPA+network, the G2 can download at 4G speeds. Complementing its operating system is a Snapdragon MSM7230 mobile processor. It has a RAM of 512 MB with an onboard ROM of 4 GB. It has, however, a microSD card slot that is preloaded with an 8 GB card, but this can be further expanded to 32 GB.
Sporting a large 3.7-inch S-TFT touch-sensitive screen with WVGA pixel resolution at 480×800, it displays an onscreen QWERTY keyboard with Swype technology, providing a quick way to input text with a continuous movement of your fingers as you point to the desired letters. In addition to this, it also has a physical QWERTY keyboard that slides out from under the screen.
Since it uses Android, the G2 is linked with very popular Google mobile services, including Search by voice, Maps, Gtalk, Street View, Picasa, and YouTube. You can also access emails, contacts, and calendars that are supported by Exchange Server and Gmail. Also, you can access the Android Market for the over 80,000 (and growing) apps you can use to enhance your mobile phone experience or for fun and games.
A 5-megapixel camera with a built-in LED flash in incorporated with the G2. It can also record HD video at 720p that you can upload to your laptop or post on your networking sites. It also includes Wireless-N Wi-Fi networking allowing you to surf the Net where there are hotspots. It has Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free calling or listening to stereo music. An integrated GPS provides for your navigational needs. Visual voicemail function is likewise incorporated.
The HTC T-Mobile G2 is powered by a standard 130 mAh Lithium-ion battery with a talk time of 200 minutes. Standby time is 180 hours.
