Motorola Cliq 2 – T-Mobile

First released in the US in November 2009, the Motorola Cliq has had two other incarnations –the Cliq XT, which as released in March 2010, and the Cliq 2, released in January 2011.
The Cliq 2 is more like the original Cliq than the XT. While the latter did not have the original’s slide-out physical QWERTY keyboard, it is returned to the 2. Again like the original, the latest version includes a Motorblur user interface. With Motoblur, you can receive directly on your main screen updates from different sources, including Facebook, Twitter, email clients, and even weather updates.
The large individual keys of the keyboard are sufficiently spaced apart from each other to minimize, if not eliminate, the possibility of pressing keys adjacent to the one you actually want. They are coated with a type of rubber that makes them soft to your fingertips. It also prevents your fingers from slipping.
Screen size is bigger than both its predecessors, measuring 3.7 inches, occupying almost the entire front face of the phone. It is a TFT capacitive touch screen with 480 x 854 pixels. It incorporates an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and accelerometer.
Powered by a 1 GHz processor with an Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, you can expect access you apps or files very quickly. This is also true with downloads. Internal memory is 1 GB, with a RAM of 512 MB. Memory, however, can be upgraded up to 32 GB with a microSD card. As a bonus, the Cliq2 comes with a 2 GB card.
Connecting to the Internet can be done via your home or office network with the phone’s Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. When you are away, you can still get on the Net using the phone’s 3G connection to T-Mobile. You can even share this connectivity with up to five other Wi-Fi enabled devices, such as a laptop, PDA, or another smart phone.
With this connection, you can easily send the photos taken by the Cliq 2′s 5-megapixel camera to your family or friends back home. It has autofocus keeping your pictures sharp, and a dual LED flash for shooting when the lights are low.
