Designed and assembled by HTC for T-Mobile, the HTC T-Mobile myTouch 4G works with the service provider’s high-speed 3G network,  and is intended to work with its new HSPA+ network, which delivers your downloads at 4G speeds. Compared to some competitor’s 3G networks, browsing the Web, streaming videos, and downloading apps can be completed in about a third of the time. HSPA+ now covers 75 major locations and is set to expand throughout the entire country.
The smart phone boasts of a 3.8-inch touch screen that features a virtual QWERTY keyboard with Swype capabilities making text input quicker and easier. It has a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with front and back lenses that captures both still photos and videos in HD 720p. It has an LED flash for use in low-light situations, face finder, and digital zoom.
The myTouch 4G runs on a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with an Android 2.2 (Froyo) operating system. Its onboard memory of 4GB is expandable to 32GB through the use of a Micro SD card. Accessing the Internet through your networks or hotspots is ultra-fast with its Wireless-N Wi-Fi Networking. It also includes Bluetooth connectivity for wireless connection with headsets, and A2DP Bluetooth enabling the transmission of stereo signal to compatible headphones or speaker docks. You can even use the smart phone to connect your laptop or tablet to the Net through its tethering and hotspot capabilities.
Running on Android, the smart phone is deeply integrated with Google services such as Google Maps with Street View, Google Search by Voice, Gtalk, YouTube, and Picasa. You can also access your emails, contacts, and calendars supported by Exchange Server and Gmail. A quick access to the Android market is provided, where you can choose from thousands of apps designed to improve your phone’s functions and features, enhance its screen display, or provide you with entertainment.
With the smart phone’s Genius Button, a feature powered Nuance’s Dragon Dictation, you can even make a call, send an email, or transmit a text message using a simple voice command. And with a Faves Gallery, finding your favorite family members and friends is facilitated with shortcuts.
